Tamoshan Beach Rules
Beach Hours: 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. Please note: All vehicles must leave the parking lot by beach closing time and lock the gate behind them. Please be respectful of neighbors and keep evening noise to a minimum.
Beach facilities are for Tamoshan residents and their supervised guests only. Guests are not allowed at the beach without their host Tamoshan resident present. It is essential that no one shares the gate code outside of the community. Please help keep our beach private and beautiful!
The beach cabana may be reserved for up to four hours by emailing Mary Ellen Jones (vicepresident@tamoshan.org) at least one week in advance. Reservations do not exclude other residents from beach access. Cabana reservations will not be accepted for Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, or the Fourth of July (and associated weekends if applicable).
Parties or gatherings of ten or more people are allowed with prior notification of and scheduling with Mary Ellen Jones(vicepresident@tamoshan.org). The Tamoshan resident who organizes and provides notice of the gathering is required to be present at the beach during the event. Other Tamoshan residents and their guests are free to use the beach during group gatherings and cannot be excluded.
There is no lifeguard on duty. All usage of Tamoshan community property is at your own risk.
NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED AT THE BEACH OR IN ANY GREENBELT AREA or on any HOA owned property.
Pack out your own trash. Pick up some extra if you see it. Leave it better and cleaner than you found it. No dumping is allowed in the greenbelt gully.
Dogs are allowed in the grass area but must be under their owner’s immediate control. When children are present, dogs must be leashed. No animals should be in the children’s play area at any time. Please remove your pet’s waste. Dog waste bags are provided.
Fires should be built in barbecues or fire pit only. Carefully extinguish fires with at least three to four buckets of water, fresh water for the barbecues and either fresh or sea water for the fire pit. Take a bucket with you to the beach. No fires are allowed when a county burn ban is in effect.
Horses, ATVs, motorcycles, and buses are prohibited on the beach parking lot and access road. All vehicles are prohibited on the beach grass park area.
The beach water faucet is for use at the beach only, not for filling containers to take away. The use is metered, and as homeowners we all pay for the water used. We cannot guarantee at this time, the water coming from the faucet is potable.
Use the port-a-potty appropriately. Do not put clothes, bottles, trash, or dog poop bags in the toilet.
Respect the residents who live close to the beach park. Sound travels extremely easily up the greenbelt gully, on the beach, and to the surrounding homes.
AT ANY TIME OF DAY, THE LAST VEHICLE OUT MUST LOCK THE GATE AND SCRAMBLE THE CODE. The number setting on the lock needs to be moved to engage the lock when closing. The park is private property, just like your home and lot. Lock the gate behind you, just like you would your own front door.
If you see anyone using the facilities inappropriately, please remind them of the rules.
Protect and enjoy your beach park!
